TD 21 MP 532

I woke to a soaking tent fly and the cloud still hanging heavily on the mountain top. The cool dampness was a pleasant change although we never relish putting away a wet tent.

The path down to Hikertown was pleasant lightly downgrade and even. David met me after 12 miles.

We met several hikers at the road most heading into Hikertown and the market for showers, ice cream and to wait until dark to cross the aquifer.

The aquifer starts as an open viaduct and after a few miles continues closed across miles of desert.

I was pushing to get to the next water source Cottonwood Creek at MP 535. I was tired and dusty and my nose still carries the scab from a fall earlier in the week.

At MP 532 I rolled out my pad and quilt and slept cowboy style, too tired to make dinner and conserving my water.
